ABOUT MS. JACQUIE

Jacquie Cartwright is a passionate advocate for student success. A nurturing educator with over 25 years of experience teaching preschool through high school, Ms. Jacquie helps her students uncover their potential to thrive academically. She facilitates success in education as a means to help students reach their most satisfying life. Her approach to tutoring is highly individualized, beginning by identifying gaps in learning and bridging those gaps to help students achieve their academic goals. She motivates her students by forming meaningful relationships with them, helping them understand why learning is imperative, and always believing in their ability to achieve their goals.

Ms. Jacquie has taught in many different settings, with age groups ranging from 3 years old to adults.  She tutors reading and language arts k-12, Spanish k-12, beginning French, math k-10, science k-10 and social studies k-12.  She gained her expertise from teaching writing and public speaking at the University of Connecticut and Arapahoe Community College, teaching k-6 Spanish in Douglas County, and Spanish 1-4 at Littleton High School, teaching 1st, second and third grade at Montessori Peaks Academy in Jefferson County, and all high school subjects at Voyager high school in Littleton.  She has been certified as “highly qualified” by the Colorado Department of Education in k-12 Language Arts, k-12 Spanish, elementary education, and Montessori teaching. She is pursuing additional credential in English Language Learners, Literacy, and Math.  In addition to these specialties, she teaches test preparation skills and strategies.
